Exports and Renders
Export 2D and 3D
Three kinds of export tools
There are three export tools:
- EXPORT 2D IMAGE
- QUICK EXPORT
- EXPORT 3D IMAGE
You can access the EXPORT 2D IMAGE and EXPORT 3D IMAGE tools from the workspace. You can open the QUICK EXPORT menu from the dashboard.
Difference between QUICK EXPORT and EXPORT 2D IMAGE
The QUICK EXPORT tool lets you export all floors of a project in 2D and all views in 3D. It also enables you to download the fml file. You will get a ZIP-file.
In the EXPORT 2D IMAGE menu, you can fine-tune your wishes. You will receive the 2D and 3D exports as separate files. You can’t download the fml file using this menu. You can download it using the PROJECT SETTINGS menu (HOME icon).
Where to find your exports
The exports are placed in the export menu of your dashboard. You can select the image, but that’s just one image. It’s better to download the export. The export in the export menu doesn’t always show all the requested images.
Always send the exports to your email address.

EXPORT IN 2D
You can choose between exporting 2D images, 3D images, or both.
2D exports with JPG and PNG formats automatically scale to fit the sheet.
For the metric system, the 2D exports in PDF format are also possible at scales of 1:50, 1:100, 1:200, and 1:500.
For the imperial system, the 2D exports in PDF format are also possible at scales of 1/2”= 1’, 1/4”= 1’, 1/6”= 1’, and 1/8”= 1’.
EXPORT in 3D
The following directions are possible in 3D:
- northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest
- top view, tilted view
Choosing a wind direction gives you a picture looking from the chosen direction.
For example, in a southwestern view, you get a picture from the southwestern direction.
What settings do you see on the 2D image?
The exported 2D image will show you the selected display style and view settings.
What is being exported?
Only the default design (the one shown first) will be exported.
You can see all the designs in the fml file, viewers, and spaceplanner.
Before exporting an image, make sure there are no stray elements in the room. Centering the project in 2D using the center button works best for this.
EXPORT 3D IMAGE -ARTIST IMPRESSIONS
Depending on the project level, EXPORT 3D IMAGE offers the following possibilities:
- SD Fast preview (resolution 960×540 px, level I)
- HD High quality (resolution 1920×1080 px, minimal level II)
- VR 3D Tour (minimal level III)
- IRAY Photorealistic (with NVIDIA’s Iray technology, level IV)
You can create artist impressions as if you are flying above the building, or as if you are in the building itself.
The EXPORT 2D IMAGE and QUICK EXPORT tools let you choose from a limited number of camera positions. EXPORT 3D IMAGE enables you to export images from any desired position.
Walk or fly through the estate
Viewers can fly through or around the building along a route of your choice. Or they can walk around freely using the directional keys and cursor.
You can present the tour in a separate viewer or show it on a VR device like Oculus Go.
Creating a tour is possible for every level. Presenting the tour is possible for level III and up.
Viewers can see the tour in the viewer URL, the spaceplanner URL, and when embedded in a website. A play button is visible.
